My first love affair with a camera began back in 1993 - I was the school paper's photographer. It was a actually a failed relationship - I particularly remember the time when I was in a competition together with a fellow photographer, and we were sharing a camera, and we did not properly load an SLR camera with the film. And this was the regional contest. Those were the days when DSLRs were space age, when there was more respect to the ISO when purchasing a film, and once a photo is taken, it cannot be edited! Great photos were taken using great skill, and at the time, I did not have so much to offer.
Yet. :p
More than ten years later it seems like my shutterbug eye has actually evolved, and so did the technology (thank heavens, no more screwed up rolls of film!!!). One Christmas saw me opening a Canon EOS 450 box as a present... and while I think I have gotten to know my camera more, I hope to continue learning and developing this skill.
I love documenting things, capturing what I've seen and associate it with a memory, perhaps because my own memory often fails me and thus there is a need to refer to something :)
Most of my photos are taken using a manual aperture and manual shutter setting, but I usually leave the ISO on automatic. I rarely edit my photos using any photo editing tool unless it's ridiculously dark or dim (it's also quicker to just upload the photos without editing!) so I hope you enjoy flicking through these photos in as much as I enjoy taking them.
